PETCARE

Dog Walker:
Primary duty:   Perform playtime activities for dogs and cats as per instructions on each pet’s chart.  Initial completion of each activity at its conclusion.  Pick up stools each time they occur and note on pet’s chart, informing the supervisor of any loose stool, blood or parasites in the stool.  Also note chart of urine, again informing supervisor of any blood or irregularity in urine. Examine each pet exercised for any obvious physical or
medical problems and notify the supervisor of any concerns. Maintain an updated “dogwalker’s chart” and file in tickler file in appropriate plastic bin in bath area at end of the shift. Other duties: Perform jobs on “End of the Day Dog walker Duties List” which may include cleaning drying cages, sweeping and mopping, scooping various exercise areas, cleaning out daycare crates, washing dishes, doing laundry, checking on boarding pets' bedding, emptying poop buckets, changing mop heads, scooping runs, refilling drinking water, cleaning the bathroom and other duties as may be assigned or listed.

Pet Care Technician:
Pet care Technicians have various responsibilities which include cleaning the kennel and caring for pets.  Cleaning the kennel requires scooping the runs, noting each pet’s chart for stool and urine, pressure washing and disinfecting the runs, and cleaning the gutters and traps where the water drains.  Pet care Technicians also care for the pets by making sure they have appropriate bedding and fresh water, and performing playtime activities (see also “Job Description: Dog Walker). Other duties such as bathing and brushing dogs and
cats, cleaning ears, clipping nails and brushing teeth are also done by Pet care Technicians in caring for the pets. Various odd jobs such as painting and cleaning, as well as laundry and washing dishes are also part of the job.  Pet care Technicians are responsible for cleaning cat enclosures and litter boxes, and general cleaning in all areas of the kennel buildings.   
There may also be other duties, not specified above, assigned by the supervisor.

Grooming Technician (may lead to training program for Grooming Stylist): Bathing of dogs and cats using Hydrosurge bathing system.  Brushing, combing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, brushing teeth and blow drying dogs and cats.

Using proper tools for brushing, combing and shedding of dogs and cats as appropriate to coat type and condition. Cleaning out of drying cages, grooming areas and other areas as directed by the supervisor.  Exercising of pets in the grooming area. Grooming Technicians will also learn to perform, and sometimes be responsible for the duties of Dog walkers and Pet care Technicians.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Customer Service Representative:
Customer Service representatives are responsible for dealing with the customers of Molly's Country Kennels by phone, mail, email and in person. Duties include giving information about our many services to customers who inquire by phone or in person, sending out brochures and periodic mailings, greeting customers in the reception area and checking in and checking out pets for our services, taking payment and giving receipts, balancing the cash drawer, keeping the reception area stocked and clean.  Taking prospective clients on tours of the facility is a regular part of this job, along with the more mundane aspects such as refilling office supplies, making coffee and iced tea for customers, and occasionally helping out with any of the duties of the Petcare Technicians and Dog walkers.
