Dog AgilityTraining - Check Our Schedule of Upcoming Classes & Events

Molly's Country Kennels now offers Agility Training classes for beginners, using Jack and Wendy Volhard's internationally renowned "Motivational Method" of training to get immediate success, and to build on that in a way which is fun for the dog and the owner.

Agility is a sport for dogs which involves a series of obstacles that the dog and the owner must navigate through.  Although many have seen the national competitions on TV, and some may have been to agility shows, this is a sport for any dog owners who would like to take their relationships with their dogs to a much higher level.

Right from the first week your dog will learn to negotiate combinations of obstacles.  Classes of 8 or fewer dogs are guided by our instructors, whom many of you have met in your obedience classes over the last 18 years.  Instructors have been trained by Theresa Richmond, who  was instrumental in applying the "Motivational Method" to agility training, and in developing the method which the Volhard's use in their popular week-long camps for trainers and instructors.

All goals are obtained through motivation and praise.  Once the agility bug has bitten you and your dog, you won't be able to stop.  The thrill and excitement the dog and owner experience during agility is beyond description!

The Course - Six weekly one hour classes will take you and your dog through the basic agility obstacles.  Your dog will learn to go over jumps, race through a rigid tunnel, run through a collapsed tunnel, walk the "teeter", go up the ramp of the dog walk and down the other side, climb the A-Frame and descend the other side, jump through an elevated tire, and jump onto a table and lie down to wait for your next instructions.

I can do that!
